Change Table

There is no shortage of Ikea infant changing tables to choose from. Below are some of the products currently available in stores. Note that the features of these products may change. Make it a point to check the product on the Web so you can be updated.

Leksvik

This Leksvik table / cabinet has a drawer and drawer stop. This will keep the drawer from being pulled fully open. This is essential so there is no danger of accidentally pulling it and slipping. Designed by Carina Bengs, the Leksvik is 58 cm deep, 94 cm high and 86 cm wide.

The table needs some assembly. The table top has 2 drawers. Like other Ikea products, the table is made of recyclable material. As the rules for recycling materials differ, check the rules in your area.

For safety reasons, it is best if the furniture is affixed to the wall. This will keep it from tipping when the infant gets on it. The drawer front of this Ikea infant changing table is solid spruce with acrylic lacquer. The drawer back is spruce. The back has acrylic paint with printed fiberboard.

Hemnes

Designed by Filippa Eneroth, the assembled table top is 11 cm high, 80 cm deep and 84 cm wide. The product has to be assembled. It is constructed from recyclable material. The unit can be used with the Hemnes cabinets and drawers. To clean the item, wipe it with a cloth. The table top is constructed from particle board and melamine foil.

Antilop

The Antilop table measures 29 1/8 ” x 30 3/4 ” x 30 3/4 ” (W x D x H). The maximum load is 25 lbs. The Antilop is foldable so you can save more space. There is also a lot of space for storing toys, blankets, clothes and other necessities.

Keep in mind that different wall materials will necessitate various types of fasteners. Make sure the fasteners you use are suited for the walls in your home.

The Antilop has the babycare mat. To clean, machine wash it. Bleaching is not recommended. The frame is steel with epoxy/polyester powder coating. The mattress pad is polyurethane foam.

Tips

Do not leave the baby unguarded. Do not completely rely on the straps. Always keep at least one hand on the baby.
